What is assessed when armoring a pickup or light truck.
When people talk about armored trucks they usually mean pickups and light work trucks. Each case is assessed individually.
Pickups are a common case. The cabin is armored and, if needed, a ballistic bulkhead is added. See our selection of armored pickups.
For larger trucks the work is assessed by model, load capacity and use. If you have one, send us your vehicle's details and we will tell you what is possible.
On work vehicles, the armor's weight competes with load capacity. Hybrid armor with Tensylon® helps protect with less weight.
They are checked and reinforced for the total load. Read weight, suspension and brakes.
A work vehicle is used more, so inspections should be more frequent. See maintenance.
